Remembering Feb 5th

A year has passed since Mark Reedy passed away. So much has changed since he left us and today is a good day as any to reflect. When Mark left, I took on a bigger and bigger role in the volleyball club, not just as a coach but a mentor to some of these young lads. The year has made the kinship that I share with Clint stronger. It has made me study harder to be a better coach and most of all, it has re-affirmed my belief that I was born to teach in life. I would be a fraud if I said I did all these things for Mark...I didn't. But the sequence of events was sparked by his death. I wished Mark can still be here to grow with the rest of the guys but I get the tiniest content that he is still making a difference now. Mark Reedy has not been forgotten and I thank him for the gift of helping me be a better person.
